About us

Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman formed the Telephone Industries Corporation named “Telephone Industry Corporation Limited (Tesis)” on 24/04 1973 with the idea of far-reaching development. Tesis is gratefully remembering Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, the best Bengali of all time.

Earlier, in 1986, the organization was formed in Tongi in a joint venture with Messrs. Siemens AG of West Germany. In the post-independence period, Tesis was producing and setting up EMD telephone exchanges, analog PABX, fax machines, DP / CT boxes, cabinets, telephone sets to meet the demand of the country’s telephone sector. After the brutal assassination of Bangabandhu in 1975, that progress was not only hampered, Tesis gradually turned into a sick industry. From there, Tessis has been transformed into a digital device manufacturing / integration company by participating in the “Digital Bangladesh” building program of Hon’ble Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, the dreamer and architect of Digital Bangladesh in 2006. The Hon’ble Prime Minister inaugurated the Doyle brand Tesis Laptop at the Bangabandhu International Conference Center on 11 October 2011. The beginning is the entry of Tesis in the digital sector. One by one, Doyle brand desktops, notebooks, tabs, biometric devices, multimedia projectors, sound boxes, smart pre-paid energy meters and other digital devices have been added to Tesis’s product line.

The government has identified the need for increasing the Internet penetration rate in the rural areas of the country to fight against poverty and illiteracy. The first prerequisite is to increase the rate of computer penetration in rural areas. The present status of computer penetration is below ten per hundred people for the whole country and in rural areas it is below two.

Considering this as a big hindrance towards building Digital Bangladesh, the government has taken initiatives to manufacture low cost Netbook/Laptops through the state owned company TSS. The Laptops/Netbooks being assembled by TSS has been brand named “Laptop/Netbook”. With the present installed capacity, it is possible to assemble initially 10,000 to 15,000 Netbooks/Laptops per month. Presently all the raw materials of Laptop/Netbook are being imported. Very soon TSS will start producing a number of components in its own factory premises. The present production capacity may be enhanced several folds by recruiting more manpower and ensuring enough working capital.

Private Automated Branch Exchange (PABX) is a phone switching system that widely used in offices and plants, allowing a single access number to offer multiple lines to outside callers while providing a range of external lines to internal callers or staff.

TSS provides a full range of PABX systems including analog PABX, IP PABX and Hybrid PABX. The IP PABX uses “Voice over Internet Protocol” (VoIP) technology to transform high speed internet service into a phone line to convert voice into digitized packets and then put the digitized packets onto the data network. It can easily adapt to any business, helping clients increase employees’ productivity, improve customer service and reduce cost, bring long term benefits for scalability, manageability and enhanced features.
